Learning and distinguishing yourself

The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as we continue to live. – Morris Adler
This post is another based upon the book Beyond Code by Rajesh Setty. In the journey to distinguish oneself their are several steps in what is known as the inner game and the outer game. The first of these steps of the inner game is to learn.
Learning, which is an ongoing journey of building long lasting relationships, communication skills, identifying strengths in order to run with them, setting the right expectations, keeping a scorecard of this journey, and reading the right materials. Although there is a great deal more to this learning process, in summary of the chapter from Beyond Code on learning, is to remember to seek information, develop a powerful network, and be prepared for rapid context switches. Also, one must remember to learn by teaching what you want made clearly known to others.
What we have to learn to do, we learn by doing. – Aristotle
