Are you looking for that highly elusive washboard stomach? Well, here are 3 simple steps to the road to that sexy six pack.
So you want that highly elusive washboard stomach, the one we have all dreamt about one day achieving so we can walk onto the beach with confidence. Well, look no further, cause getting a six pack is not as difficult as many people may think, and it can be done in the comfort of your own home.
1. Eat Right
The most important step on your road to a six pack is your diet. You can do endless crunches everyday but if you have a layer of fat covering them, they will never show through. Therefore, lowering your body fat is essential. You can achieve this by eating 6 – 7 small meal per day. Cut out as much fatty foods as possible, and keep the carbohydrates low unless your doing heavy workouts. Make sure you eat plenty of proteins like egg whites, turkey or chicken breast, fish, etc. These proteins are very important in building muscle.
2. Daily Cardiovascular Exercise
Assuming you have a bit of a gut in the way of that sexy six pack, a daily jog or other type of cardiovascular exercise is essential. Try to get in a 30 minute jog first thing in the morning then if you can make time, get another one in in the evening. If you do not lower your body fat, that long sought after six pack will never show through.
3. Abdominal Exercises
Many people say crunches do not work, i can see why they may think this, but they do work! If you can lower your body fat and work the abs hard daily, you will achieve that six pack. When doing crunches, try to raise your knees to your elbows in a crossing motion to help work some of the lower abs and sides as well. Try laying on your side and doing some side crunches to work those obliques. The hardest to work are the lower abs, these always take longer, but stick with it and you will be successful. Try laying on the edge of your bed and doing leg raises, this will help work those lower abs.
So there you have 3 simple steps to get a six pack at home. Nothing is easy in life, specially achieving that body you have always wanted, but it is possible. Just make sure you set and objective, have patience and keep at it. Anything is attainable in life with dedication and perseverance just make sure you do it in a healthy way, a little at a time. It does take time, and you should start off slow but make sure you keep at it and you will achieve results.

upbeat, Cultivating the right attitude to thrive in tough times

Many times I have referred to Rajesh Setty in this blog, especially referring to information from his book Beyond Code, Learn to distinguish yourself in 9 simple steps!
Rajesh sent me his new book, upbeat, Cultivating the right attitude to thrive in tough times, a few months ago.
When I reviewed Beyond Code, I did it as excerpts relating to personal development. Although, there was a great deal of information in upbeat, that could be related to personal development, I decided for the time being rather than to review the book based upon each concept and idea presented to review it in its entirety. The review that I wrote is published on Facebook.

Likeability
Filed Under Likeability | Leave a Comment
In Rajesh Setty’s steps to distinguishing yourself as detailed in his book Beyond Code: Learn to Distinguish Yourself in 9 Simple Steps that there are 5 inner steps and 4 outer steps. So far we have reviewed the 5 inner steps referred to as learn, laugh, look, making lasting impressions and love. We have also covered leverage one of the 4 outer steps to distinguishing one’s self.
In this post we shall cover the next outer step that being likeability. It is to our advantage both professionally and personally to make others feel good about themselves. To do this we must be genuinely interested in those others. We need to add measurable value to everything we do especially within our interactions.
Therefore we must develop a healthy self-esteem, in order that we can learn to both give and to receive. Be trustworthy so that others will share information, just make sure not to misuse this information. And lastly, be optimistic and remember that the key to positive thinking is “Hope for the best, and be prepared for the worst.”

Leverage your influence

Before the year is over I want to finish presenting the steps given by Rajesh Setty in his book Beyond Code – Learn How to Distinguish Yourself in 9 Simple Steps. I have already presented the first five steps. Those steps are referred to by Rajesh as the part of the inner game. It is now time to reveal the four remaining steps, those that are part of the outer game.
The first of those is leverage and here is what Rajesh says about leverage:
Leverage obtains its importance from the fact that we achieve different results because each of us invest our time and energy differently. We are reminded that we are not the sole handler of a problem but have many resources that we can leverage to help us, the most important of these being other people.
When I read what Rajesh says about leverage I am reminded of what Napoleon Hill said in his book Think and Grow Rich about people who formed a mastermind group. He claimed on his deathbed that the mastermind principle was the most important of all the success principles he identified. A mastermind group is a support team that meets on a regular basis to share advice, feedback, and ideas among its members. Together we know more and can focus more energy than any one of us can alone. The mastermind group can function as your personal board of directors.
